new metallic grey oct vrs

Featured Replies

Due a new company car soon and am the present owner of a mk1 oct vrs which has been great, (also own a fabia vrs that the missus runs), so was looking on the skoda uk site because i fancy a mk2 and noticed the oct vrs now comes with metallic grey as an option is this true or is it a **** up because DM Keith hudds now nothing about this but thats no surprise cause they are crap. Also i have always been a fan of the mk5 GTI and fancy one of these but with the budget im allowed can only get a 6-12 month old one so do i stay loyal to the skoda brand and get a brand new vrs or go for the car ive always wanted. Any info or opinions would be appreciated.

Get the car you really want. I really wanted the GTi but needed the practicality of the VRs so it was a no brainer.

There is talk of a 'run out' version of the vRS which will add a few options as standard along with one or two distinguishing features one of which will be the colour which will either be Grey or White. Also muted are 19" alloys and leather interior and maybe some special decalls.

That said no decision as yet and this variant is unlikely to be available till the early part of next year so in answer to your original question a vRS in grey is not currently available.

Wonder if this will get a power upgrade like the A4 2.0T special edition - 218bhp I think.

if you go through the "build your own" on the skoda website the grey is on the list of paints for a VRS...

and, thats what i said i wanted to know if this actually the case or a mistake becuase there is no price or picture that goes with it.

who knows but theres no picture of a grey VRS in the build manager thingy when you select it. maybe worth giving skoda customer services a ring tomorrow.

he is probably putting you off of it and then go and tell you that there is only blue available with jumbo box and thats it (cos one is sat out the back that someone changed their mind on). put your foot down and if you get no where go to another garage.

If 'grey' doesn't exist in vRS form (and as far as I'm aware it doesn't) then how can you "put your foot down"

as far as i was aware it was. i thought the colours for vrs were:

Black, Red, Yellow, White, silver, blue and anthracite grey (my fave color at moment).

grey has never been on the VRS list although it is now on their website

No price or pic though. A site fault?

I had heard though, that it's available in some markets so can be configured by dealers
