Sun 7 September, Scunthorpe to Matlock Bath

Featured Replies

Ayup folks ...

The cunning plan is as follows ...

Sunday 7 September

Meet at the Farmhouse Pub (end of M181) by SUFC at 0930

Steady drive via Gainsboro to Matlock Bath for the Cable Cars etc...

Alternatively meet in Matlock Bath Rail station car park 1115

(please note Matlock BATH NOT Matlock TOWN)

All welcome, Skodas old or new, or anything else if you like it, thats fine by us.

Please indicate if you're interested & where you wish to meet.

cheers ... Darren

Bump ... just a week to go now

I might have fancied taking a run over the top for this, but I'm at Trax I'm afraid.

Hope you have a good meet though

d'oh!! Matlock is 10/15 mins down the road for me but I don;t think I'll be able to make it

Have a good day and make sure you sample the fish & chips....the illuminations are now on also, so worth staying around to early evening at least

plenty of great pubs and real ales too, but not much use since everyone will be driving! ;)

cheers

Took a trip to Matlock Bath last Monday and could not find a place to park :(

Just wanted to look at the bikes :)

there are a few main carparks off the main road (A6), you are unlikey to be able to park on the main road itself

As the meet suggests the station car park for Matlock Bath (not "Matlock") is probably best

SWMBO will be pleased with the Real Ale pubs as I'll be the driver again

Yup Matlock (Town) can be very busy hence the meeting point at Matlock Bath station.

I was going to take the 1965 Octavia ... however ... the MOT runs out the day before.

So I'll be going modern (Black 55 plate Octy II Sport TDI) & going direct Doncaster to Matlock Bath. The Scunny crowd will still be meeting by SUFC as planned though.

a good day out in the end...

9 people in total ... 5 did the pubs along the prom'

4 of us ventured up the heights of abraham, cable cars & caves.

How busy was matlock, I was there a few weeks ago on a Saturday and it seemed deserted, and it was nice n sunny.

Not too busy really, but not deserted either.

Big thunderstorm in the afternoon washed some people away though
