hi, ive just noticed today my ignition barrel on my felicia 98 new model is getting stuck and was wondering if anyone could help. for some time now the brake fluid light has come on starting the car. i first thought it was an electrical prob. as if it did not come on from start it would not come on at all. it seems now that the reason for it is that the ignition is getting stuck the key does not clic back into place after starting the car. this may also solve the problem of my starter motor burning out bout 1 month ago. when rac looked at it they said permanent live was going to the motor. if the key is getting stuck would make sense there is permanent live. if anyone can help is there any way to lubricate the ignition to stop it sticking?

It will need a new lock assy, very common fault on the Felicia.

The rest of the car will be long gone before that fails again.

wouldn't be so sure am starting to get quite attached. just out of curiosity have any recomendations for where to get parts. my starter motor (new one) non original main section in plastic am not too sure if it will cause probs. and the top bracket that fixes to it wont fit. thanks again, joe.
