My New Baby (Vrs)

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Just Picked up my Fabia Vrs the other day (finally)

06 Plate 1 Owner since new Full service history (6mths warranty left)

£6400! (43000miles) Great price I thought, going on holiday to Scotland on Friday so I thought I would see how quickly Celtic tuning could come (and its now booked for tomorrow) can't wait, Would be interested to know if anyone knows if Skoda would notice any changes if they ran diagnostics on the ecu say if the clutch failed? Ill let you know how the map goes after I've been through the scotish highlands! ;)

Any one really think its worth new air filter ect (have read most of the previous posts, seem to be mixed view's/as with everything in life)

Factory Zenons (Dipped not main?)

Cruise control

Aircon

And last but not least annoying floor mats that role up under your feat whilst driving!

Welcome! That's a great price - I thought I got a good deal, damn!! Enjoy

Welcome and you bagged a bargain there :D

celtic tuning  I hope you like forking out for turbos and clutchs

I was prepared to replace the Clutch at some point in the future, so do many people replace damaged turbo's (excluding upgrades for more power)

Hello and welcome. You will have to post up some piccys.

Will do if and when I ever get away from work

Celtic tuning's maps are pretty harsh on the turbos, so you may well damage the original turbo. You'll almost certainly kill the original clutch as well.

Welsome to Briskoda.......

As far as i know all maps are detectible when checking the ECU. The only way to get a similar result without any evidense is a tuning box etc.... which can be removed when it comes to any related warranty work.

Xenons are only on the dipped lights on the Fabia.... and on the majority of other cars except the odd exec Mercs etc.....

If you're getting the car re-mapped i'd say it's worth getting the PD160 intake and a upgraded cotton filter to get the most out of the extra performance.

Enjoy

Cheers

Dave.

Any Idea why it seems to run to 110 then runs out of grunt? (private road of course!_)

Is this the gearing or just where the main power band runs. . . .

that is just near the top of the power band with the standard turbo.

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Enjoy Scotland... but will Scotland enjoy you?? Stay away from my place, eh? :D

And also the speedo changes at 90mph so it 'looks' like you're accelerating even slower than you are....

Spose it makes sense, ill have to have a look on the sat nav (which generally shows the car doing 6-7mph slower than the clock, The map from celtic Tuning was good done in 30mins, should have had the car longer before having it done (as not sure the diffrence is huge:confused:) will have to get the PD160 intake and possible a new filter then Ill decide + possibly if Graham does not mide a tweak or two . . . :D

P.s Just obliterated a lad in a 306 Gti6 (think that was the spec/hard to see in the dark, when overtaking at speed, then he made the mistake of tring to keep up!):rofl::rofl:;)

Hope you don't behave like this when you're up here. It's this sort of bravado that gets the forum a bad name. Calm down.
