Remapped emissions?

Featured Replies

hiya folks,

got my babies 1st mot coming up and it just popped into my head?

the fact its got a stage 2 remap "APR" would that be affecting the emissions ? as the mot is being done at my local skoda dealer?

lol ive never gave a thought up until now

:orb_duh:

although other than that , with 10k on it if it fails i think its by by time as i have clearly got a lemon lol lol

Will be fine mate, plenty of peoples cars pass with remaps.

Mine has a remap and full Milltek exhaust and it sailed through so no worries id imagine

Yes you should be ok!

I have a custom downpipe turbo back system and it was fine when mine went for the mot

You will probably find that the idle map and fuelling will be very similar to OEM unless you have changed significantly the moving mechanicals like an ultralight flywheel and lumpy cams where the idle will have significantly altered.

The MOT is "emissions <= value", not "emissions = factory standard".

MIne was fine for two or three years, but it finally failed catastrophically this year, and had to have a cat fitted into the turboback exhaust system to get it through. The only one the garage could get (bearing in mind price) was intended for a 4.8ltr Jeep, apparently :D
