Just pick the car up today, mk1 vrs.

Central locking wont work with thw keys. LED lights up, but nothin else happens.

Central locking works fine with the door lock.

I dont have the owners manual to find out how to re synk the key.

Any help woul be good,

But dont tell meit's the unit in the door thats gonna cost me laods:O

Have you tried disconnecting the battery leaving it for five minutes then reconnecting the battery hopefully this should reset the central locking for you.

ok, theres nothing wrong with the windows?:confused:

Fixed it, dont know how, but now it's working.

I took the door apart today after work, checked the informus plug, clean and dry, looked brand new, pins were perfect. Anyway gave it wiggle and checked the remote again, nothing :(

Not wanting to waste all my time I decided to but the door back together and have a look at fitting the radio properly, bit of a git to get the addaptor plug clear of the unit so it would slide in properly. I had to take the heater control unit out and ull the wires dow tho clear every thing, got that done and put it back together.

Cleared up my tools, and got out and locked the car with the key.

Then I thought I'd give the remote one last try, and it worked Tryed it a few more times, all good. Went inside got the spare, wich never used to work, and that was fine too:). Weired.

Now I dont know if it was the plug in the door, or if a disturbed something in the dash, but anyhow it's working now, I hope it stays that way.
