Fabia Back Ache!!

Featured Replies

Is It only me but the Fabia gives me terrible back ache when new?

I'm on my third fabia, my first a TDi comfort took months for me to find a comfortable position, I then marked the position of the backrest and seat base with black electrical tape so that i could get the exact postion again after my wife had driven the car!!

My second a Vrs took less time to get comfortable in but again i had to resort to marking the exact position of the seat.

Now we are running two Vrs's and guess what the new one is killing me, i've compared seat positions and repeatedly measured both cars but i am still struggling to get comfortable.

I haven't had any trouble in any other car owned, but the fabia, i think its something to do with the bolstering of the back rest, as although there is plenty of head room, in the first two fabias i had to recline the seat to resolve the back ache issue, does anybody else struggle to get comfortable?? If so how did you resolve it? given the two present cars being set up the same i can only think its a wear issue and hope that in a couple of thousand miles or so the new one will wear in!

I get bad aches in my left hip after a couple of hours but not suffered with my back in the Furby yet.

The Octy kills my dodgy knees though and I hate it in slow traffic when you're on and off the clutch.

I noticed some back ache in the 1.2 comfort I was driving the other day. Had none in the vRS.

nah havent had backache at all in the furby might be just a wear issue.

No back aches in my Elegance and I regularly do 3 hour journeys without any problems :)

I'm getting less back-ache in my vRS than I did in my last two cars (ancient Jetta and aged Polo). Getting the driver's seat back into place after SWMBO has been driving is harder though - seems like the adjustment steps front to back are quite small.

I got upper back pain (shoulder blades) after half a day in the Fab RS, yet have driven many miles \ hours in other Fabias without any issue.

I found the Fabia 1.4TDI to be the most relaxing for a long journey.

I have had my furby vRS for 11 weeks and done 8,000 miles and no problems yet!

I get worse backache form using my computer!!!

Ok mate try changing the poisition of the steering wheel if this fails where are you? If you close to Croydon/ Sutton let me know and you can come to the mobility center and try some special back cushions. We DONT sell anything just allow you to try.
