Signs of DMF wear?

Featured Replies

What are the signs of this...?

On my car under load when pulling away there's a rumble sound? and when in neutral there like a relaease bearing rumble sound which dissapears when i depress the clutch pedal?

Is this a grumbling dmf?

Cheers

Dom

Its quite possible DMF or clutch related.Common problems on these.

Car is easy to stall, you can almost feel a bounce when going on and off the gears, a rubbing noise isn't all that common but I have had a bearing go sounding like that.

Dunno about bounce, but it's hard to get a smooth change of gear from 1st to 2nd...? It's like it has a some nanny state on the clutch pedal that won't release it when i want to? The BMW's have some sort of valve to protect the drivetrain, that controls the speed which the clutch is let out quickly, do these cars have a similar system?

Cheers for the replies...

No idea, but that sounds like the DMF is on it's way out if smooth gear changes are a problem.
