2.0 TDI 140, whats left after a remap?

Featured Replies

After having my remap and panel filter a while back, my Octy is about 180hp and 310lbft, but I need more, I'm curious what I could do next before the law of diminishing returns sets in. I heard that a new intercooler would allow me to map further to about 200hp?

has anyone done this?

Im trying to decide to go for tuning on this car or save it and trade for something faster.

A big front mounted intercooler will help but you'll probably need to make changes to the front bumper to get enough airflow so you'll lose the standard look and it'll probably cost as much as you've spent already

I am going to go down the turbo upgrade route when I get my remap. derv doctor quoted me £1200ish for bigger turbo, remap and fitting, thats to exchange the standard turbo. They quote figures of 240bhp, but maybe thats a bit optomistic. Still, should be good for well over 200bhp surely
