Briskoda Booze Cruise 08

Featured Replies

Time to ask for any interested parties to go on the 4th annual BBC ?

usually from Calais to Brugge Xmas market, but open to sensible suggestions.

Sat 29th November by Eurotunnel, prices available below, see attachment.

You can have either £44 or £54 return ( car & up to 5 people)

List perferences below as follows.-

1) LFC958 - Out - 8am-10am, Back 8pm-10pm.

UPDATE:-

Well the tunnel is up and running again, but with only one running this means that the schedules are very slow. 1 train every 2 hrs :(

So my suggestion now is that we use P&O ferries.

Will check on the money situation and let you know probably at the October meet, we're going to Brussels xmas market in December so not sure if I can afford to do both :(

we will look at it at a closer time, money, petrol, etc but is something we would like to do and i still need to sort out my passport.

We might be able to make it this year

When does the Brussels xmas market start, as beyond the date above trying to get a crossing of a weekend is a nightmare.

Perhaps we could do Brussels Xmas market, instead of Brugges.

It starts that weekend I believe, 29th November and runs until Xmas although the fairground rides and ice rink are open until the first week of January. So yeah, thats probably why it's impossible to get any bookings around then! I had to book our Eurostar tickets for a Thursday coz the weekend prices were twice as much!!!

So what do you think about us doing that then ? Brussels xmas market.

I'm intrested, not sure if me and emily are off though,

Put me down as a "maybe" please and I'll decide at the October meet

Are we going on the Ferry now?

Are we going on the Ferry now?

After the hassle I had getting back from bruges yesterday I know I am (and I'd use P&O too as Eurotunnel stick everyone on seafrance)

Update:-

Here is a screen shot of the most likely ferry timings, Please be aware we will have to be quick for this. I will be booking next week.

Steve, what timings are these?

can't read the print on the page!!

And what is the cost?

Ta

Won't be going unfortunately as we've booked to go to it on the Eurostar on Thursday 4th December so can't really afford to go twice.

I went with my girlfriend in December 2007 and can thoroughly recommend it.

There is a big wheel, ice rink, an inflatable "ice monster", fairground rides for the kids, a sound and light show in the Grand Place, and stalls along some of the streets.

They won't have the site up and running until November but there are pictures and info about the 2007 one which show you where things are.

That looks really good, thanks

I might do this one but on Eurostar seeing as it's winter and I don't enjoy being bobbed about that much. I quite fancy the idea of staying the night and having a look around the rest of the place the next day.
