what a gorgeous car......would have been more elegant with the wood trim fitted for a small additional cost......just out of my price range unfortuantely.......have to wait for someone to buy one and then p/x for another model......had that when i purchased my skoda l+k octavia estate......he only had it a cppl mths and p/xed it for same model but with a dsg box......saved a fair bit on the new price as well......but as kids grew up the estate was too small so i p/x it for the comfort superb.....and dont feel the legs digging into the rear seat now

I'm pretty sure that James wanted wood trim, but nobody realised it was optional when he placed the order.

Personally, I'm glad it's optional, as I really don't like it that much. It's all a bit 'pipe and slippers', if you ask me. Having said that, I don't agree with charging for it either. Giving customers the choice is a great idea, making them pay for it, isn't.

Bagpuss.

I thought when parked up the mirrors on the Elegance spec folded in, is this the case as they are not folded in the pics?

Also is it possible to fold the mirrors manually as I'd prob have to fold them in to make entry to my garage a bit easier?

This is the first time I have seen the car out of the papers and the inside of the car and it looks so classy, and is a good looking car, now if I had the money I would go out and get one.

Thanks for sharing.

Bagpuss is right, I would have probably ordered the wood trim just to see what it was like, but I now only think it really works with the ivory leather.

The wing mirrors fold in after you've locked it if you keep the lock button pressed for another second, and then they unfold when you turn the ignition on.

So I take it the mirrors cannot be folded in via a switch inside at all so that I can then move the car into my garage, they will only fold on locking?

Wonder if this can be changed using VAG-COM or the MAxi-dot?

On the wing mirror adjustment switch there are five positions.

Nothing

Left Adjustment

Right Adjustment

Heated

Folding

You can fold them in via the button whenever you like. So when you are driving into your garage just swing the button around to the folding position and mirrors fold in and in you go.

thanks for that my garage aperture is 2300mm wide and the Superb according to the brochure is 2009mm wide, folding the mirrors should give a few extra mm clearance

looks good james. same colour as our demo. we are also at a loss about getting the code for the radio. tried all the normal routes and we are waiting for a answer from skoda. bit embaressing tbh!!

we've got ours out at the front of the showroom, have you got yours covered up or hidden away as skoda asked? :D

Well ours is of course hidden away in the workshop.......

It's actually out the front for all to see. Thankfully it's managed to get some attention today next to the White vRS Estate and I've actually not been too bored today.
