Yeah... just got a new car.

Its very rapid indeed. It handels better than the fabia.

And is a fair bit more sporty.

And here it is...

mycar.jpg

Honda Crx- 1.6 16v Vtec 170bhp

REALLY nice new paint job.

I do feel bad about not having a Skoda... but its really nice.

I still have my skoda to drive now... but not for much longer as its up for sale.

I am moving a mile away from work, so not commuting a long way to work anymore. So dont need something which has a good mpg.

I am going to miss the fabia... but I just hope it goes to a good home.

Still going to keep using the forum though... prob one of the best I have been on.

What you think of the car.?

Used to have one of those myself, All black G reg Jap import with a full glass roof. Fantastic car, also had a C reg MK1 before that.

Yup they are mighty fine cars.

Only got 78,000 miles too.

All the others i looked at had at least 140,000 miles.

So think I got a good deal.

very nice, allways liked the crx,and the b16a lump is a proper screamer enjoy:thumbup:

Turbo'd crx anyone:D

Mate wrote on of those off, so i robbed the engine from him, and stuck it in my Mini...! That was fast.

Wasnt the vtec, just the 140bhp 1.6(std), but with long branch manifold and not much exhaust. lol.

Decided to live long, and got rid... gutted!!

I've had 2 of those! :D :D

Well, neither were Vtecs - both were 1.6i 16 ED9's but they were still great fun.

Both rusted like an absolute pig - the sills just disappeared before my eyes. On one of them the N/S sill went that bad the seatbelt bolt in the floor came away and you could see the ground from inside the car. Keep an eye on this - the plastic sill covers normally hide a whole load of bodywork problems.

Shame really - mental bullet proof engine, nice dash, good seats, great to drive and pretty rare - just crap bodywork.

Smart looking motor my friend. 1 of the local chavs has a rusty one round here, so its nice to see a well kept one.

Love the new car always been a big fan

very nice looking motor and heard they are great fun :D

enjoy!

One of the cars i usually play with on Gran Turismo(1 - 4) on the playstation..... would love to drive 1 for real....

I was out in one the other day.

had a 2.2vtec prelude lump in it, lots of work done.

fastest motor ive been in i think.

I really like that - came close to buying one at an auction once.

Hope you enjoy it :)

K/.

Nice looking car mate.

Thanks Guys...

Good to hear that from you guys.

I have checked all of the body work over, and there is no rust anywhere...

and i mean anywhere.

One of the mintest I have been in.

That's good news - these things are buggers for rusting if not maintained really well. As I say, whip off the plastic sill guards every now and again to make sure. They don't do it in MOT's hence mine went un-noticed for so long. Also, the rear spoiler on the boot - the clips that held that on rusted through and the spoiler came off in the car wash.

ALSO :D check the front springs - if they start sounding like donkeys when you go over speed humps they've sheared. Common fault on these.

Not too sure about this choice.

The only time I see these cars they are generally IMO drove by kids who drive so badly and wrekclessly it's untrue.

I would say "have you bought a burberry hat with that" but I'm sure that would not go down well

good luck with it though :)
