Hello everyone,

I stumbled upon Briskoda yesterday and I love it. Great folks and cars here!

I'm Dave from the Netherlands and I drive a 93' Favorit GLXi which I bought in 2001. The car belonged to an elderly couple and was then used as a run-about-town car by its second owners. Their daughter used it to drive to college but she hated it: it was green, it had no power steering, and, well, it was a Skoda. The car was the subject of numerous practical jokes; the radiator was punctured with a screwdriver, badge was removed, and - I found out one day on the motorway in France - the exhaust was stuffed with a rope.

Anyway, thousands of miles later, after a rear-ender - earning the car the nickname 'The Tank' (that new Corsa was worse off) - a healthy driving style, plenty of oil changes, a K&N replacement filter, and running on BP Ultimate, the car and engine are now in great shape.

And to celebrate the fact that El Skodo (another alias) is still alive and kicking I recently gave in to something I've always wanted to do, especially since "it's a Skoda"; I gave it some new shoes:

The rims are 16 x 7.5 Autec fitted with 195/40 Falken tyres. Man, does this drive! :D

welcome to briskoda.

Nice looking Favourit.

welcome along

Welcome Dave :)

Hello & welcome :)

Hiya.

IMO poking sharp objects through a radiator is criminal damage, not a joke!

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda :D
