Apparently, the designer of the new Superb has revealed that the rear lights are exactly the same shape as the headlights, just turned upside down.

I don't know how true it is though, I haven't checked yet:confused:

Now there's an interesting fact to bring up at dinner parties.

They mentioned this at the dealer launch, apparently it is the first car to ever have this feature....

Now that is going to help us sell them!

I wonder if Skoda were harking back to the 50's/60's and the original Octavia - the rear screen was exactly the same size/shape as the front screen!

No sorry, they look different because they ARE different.

The rear lights taper down (on the boot lid) where as the front are horizontal (by the washers)

I've been wondering for ages what it is that doesn't look right with the rear. I think it just doesn't look wide enough due the curves. Could have done with a similar rear to a 5 series imo

I've tried and they really don't seem to match in any way, no matter how I hold the rear lights they don't match the front.

Does anyone know how to re-fit the rear lights back on again....

What's being said (I think!) is if you rotate the front right unit by 180 degrees the shape is similar to the back left unit and vice versa. Except it doesn't really if you look closely at the angles etc.

I was merely trying to point out that the picture on the right was not of an actual superb so it was unfair to compare the lights in those pictures, that's why I posted genuine pictures.

It may only of been a cgi of a Superb, but the lights are still the same, so i stand by my comment of them looking different because they are different.
