Hi all,

everything is fine with the factory bluetooth kit. But, while having long phone calls both "radio" display and MFD display shows something like "PHONE" and inhibits any other info.

Now, if the radio display isn't useful while having phone calls, , I can't see why the temperature (or rear parking) is no more displayed.

Besides, I'd be quite interested in being able to read all the info generally supplied by MFD.

Is there a way to modify this less than smart behaviour?

If with VAG-COM, where to buy it at best conditions ?

If it works anything like the NAV system, you can overide the automatic Maxi-dot screen by holding down either the up or down Maxi-dot stalk controls for a few seconds. Then you should be presented with a pulldown menu of options like this:

MFD

Navigation

Radio

Diagnostics

Telephone

Settings

(some like nav and phone are option dependent, some like Settings are restricted dependent on whether the engine is on or just ignition, and diagnostics only shows when there is a problem/user message)

Once menu is shown move highlight selector using up/down again then press the stalk under-button (reset) to activate.

thanks for feedback. I pushed the stalk but after a few seconds the MFD display keeps returning to phone mode and prevents to read any other info both from headunit and MFD display :thumbdwn:

bump for interest! Any news? Even if I keep the stalk pushed the maxidot display returns to "phone mode" effectively hiding anything else....
