Went to my Dealer today and was told that the expected delivery of my Superb is delayed. It was due by the end of the month. It is on the system but no build date as yet. Cars ordered after mine have been built and are due to be delivered. The Dealer has no idea what the delay is (possibly waiting for components I surmise). Oh well......Patience is a virtue:(

Thanks for that Bagpuss. As I said I have no idea what the delay is. I can only assume it may be one or some of the extras I have ordered.:confused:

170cr Elegance DSG with three spoke steering wheel, Cream Leather, Cd Changer and Supreme Sound System, Park Assist + Hill Start, Auto Dipping Rear Mirror, Heated Washers Carpets, Plastic Wood Trim. I think that is it. It is down for building but no start date yet. May have more news this coming week.

My Dealer showed me the production/build list. It was actually scheduled for two weeks ago but since then it seems to have been moved down the list and he surmises there may be a problem in the supply of of one or more of trhe extras. At least they will be getting lots of practice building Right hookers before mine is built . So I live in hope and stick 500 miles+ a week on my current Superb. At least the deal is done.

Actually he is but to prevent the mileage increasing higher than expected he may give me his Demo Superb Elegance with DSG or a Mk 1 he has also for sale. I kept to my side of the deal in regards to mileage and the cotract was signed and sealed for delivery 18th of September. The car was ordered back in July at the preview prior to the main launch last week. Dealer is very helpful and I can not fault the way they have done business in the past. So not too worried actually.

Does anyone have any 'recent / current' feedback from dealers on how long the delay is likely to be on their order? Any examples?

There is some sort of issue with both the sunroof options and they cannot be ordered at the moment.

There is a supply issue with the sunroof both standard and solar variants.

At this time we don't know when they will resolve this.

If it counts for much mine (170 elegance solar sunroof) was week 36 after the delay is now programmed for third week of october. Not happy about it as I parted with my deposit so others now have the benefit of my thousands lol not me....:eek::confused::thumbdwn:

But should be worth it in the end.

why bother with the sunroof ? too noisy to drive around with sunroof open. lots of money for a piece of glass in the roof !

You must be getting extremely frustrated with the lack of information. Have you considered that your dealer might have specified a sunroof, by accident? Might be worth checking, as these things do sometimes happen.

Mine doesn't have a sunroof either, and is due to be built this week. I'm definitely going to be keeping a close eye on it.

It is currently somewhere in Deutchland.........Hope the Sat Nav knows the way to West Wales and not just Poland.......:eek: Only kidding. So I guess another couple of weeks.

I was informed by my dealer today........... My car is now built and is awaiting embarcation at Emden and soon to be en Route to Grimsby. So that is the end of this thread I guess.........unless someone knows different lol

The car has arrived at the dealers . Going to see it today but wont take delivery until the 1st of November. Going to have Diamond Brite paint protection applied as it worked so well on my current Superb

The SAGA has ended took delivery today. So I guess the end of this thread.............or until next time
