has the fabia hit its ceiling?

Featured Replies

The shaft to one of the wheels in the turbo will break causing loss of power the fins, wheels,VNT mechanism will be OK and stay in the turbo.

yeah i'm not denying that, but there will be no oil pressure to lubricate the bearings in the engine

I think i'm with you on this. Even though i now own a petrol turbo i would be less likely to put a bigger turbo on it like i did my derv. Obviously bang for buck the petrol has the advantage when it comes to mods but if you spend as much on a 1.8T as i did my old derv i don't think the 1.8T would be as near as reliable. I hear of lots of problems when you put a big turbo on a 1.8T.

really, not exactly common on here?

the only time i've heard of 1.8t's going bang is too much power on standard internals or oil starvation and thats about it really.
