yeah what you on about!

the octy should have raped the furb!

where you towing a trailor?!

whenever i have a play with a fabia vrs, they always lose. normally by quite a large margin.

mine was runnin 95ron

Try 98 RON the difference is noticeable. Mine ran like a dog the only time I ever put 95 RON in it :thumbdwn:

wouldnt the octy have been about 20 bhp down on 95 ron?

mine always ran like crap on 95ron and is only ever used in small doses when no 99ron is available.

I don't think it's as much as that, although, I'm no expert

maybe 98 wud be better had ran 98 im my highline before and not noticed any difference so didn think it was worth it?

The Labia will top out long before the Octavia :)

So your saying not only is the Fabia faster at the top end but also faster to get there ????:P

was you in the furby? just that if you was changing at 5000 rpm in the octy - you wasn't even stretching its legs.

How old are you ????

for best results keep ya foot in till at least 6k if not slightly higher, don't change at 5k man!

Because you type like a child.

Just an observation ;)

I had mine on the rollers and made 180 bhp with 95 ron.

Or spelling

I had mine on the rollers and made 188 bhp with 99 ron

I think in a turbocharged car a higher octane fuel definately makes a difference, it's not much though only a few bhp.

Good result for a 6 year old standard car. :)

And it had passed 100,000 miles a couple of days before the RR day

My weapon of choice was a full tank of Shell V-power 99 RON.

Pretty sure the car is standard as it came from a main dealer and the graphs looked the same as the other standard Octys at the RR day, although boost peaks a little lower on mine... so wonder what it would make if the boost peaked at 10.2 psi like the others :)

he was sayin it tops out before ie it wont reach the top speed of the octy so will run out of steam sooner.

I will be tryin different tactics next time and different fuel before the re-map etc to see if i can improve on those figures ,cheers for all the info guys

Thanks for understanding plain English :)

Wonder how much weight reduction the octy needs to shave a few tenths of a second off. Not sure if driving with a qauter of a tank or less really makes a difference but we are comparing accurate times here i suppose.
