I have just had the motion door locking turned off and I have found that I no longer have to turn the key twice to open all the doors:thumbup:

This was done at a seat dealer I also asked them to turn off the seat belt warning but it was not on there comp so they could not do it is there a code i can give them to do it ?????

Also checked out the price for a timing belt change with the cosia water pump £290 all in, with the vat, is that about right??

There are lots of options with locking, unlocking, chirps, lights etc. If you have a maxi-dot you can change some of this stuff yourself, otherwise VAG-com (VCDS?) or a dealer is needed.

I got the same story when I asked about switching off the seat belt warning on my transporter (I have to get out to open/close the garage door).

Can't help with price re timing belt, sorry.

To disconnect the seat belt warning just push drivers seat back as far as can go and you will see a plug with 2 wires coming from the seat belt stalk.Just disconnect that plug and the light and warning will no longer work.IIRC the wires are blue and yellow??

Plug it back in!

Go to someone with VAG-COM and do the following:

17 – instruments

07 – recode

00??x0x

??=

00 = no options

+01 = brake pad monitoring

+02 = Seat belt warning

+04 = Washer fluid warning

(add the option numbers together for the right number i.e: all three = 07 or to turn off seatbelt warning 01+04=05)

If you want brake pad turned off change;

"00"

to

"01"

For Seat Belt off change to 02, for seat and brake change to 03 (because 1+2=3), for brake and washer you would change it to 05.

If you don't know what VAGCOM is then find someone who does!
