My Octavia SDI is 7 years old and is very noisy under acceleration, is this the norm? I have had the exhaust checked at my local exhaust fitters, and it was fine, they thought it might be the under tray/sump guard which is loose, or the plastic cover for the top of the engine. It's fine on tickover.

Any ideas?

Normally its the air box that loosens off and vibrates get some new mounts and that should cure it or fit a K&n air filter

Manifold leak on exhaust side.

Also should be in MK1 section.
