When was PD technology introduced

to the 1.9 TDI in the Audi A6 range ?????

Im thinking 2002

Makes sense as I guess they used it in the fabia from 2001 at least - perhaps as a trial for Audi and others?

Skoda first had it in the Fabia TDi, ATD engine, I think on the Y registration March to September 2001.

Audi adopted it quite late: I'd say late 2001 to early 2002 was when the A3 got it, with the 130 PD. I don't think they used the 115, so Lummox is probably about right.

The 115bhp was the first for Audi in the 8D A4.

The A6 came a little later, they were still using the Non PD 110bhp for a while.

Early april 2001 mongrel. :D

So a 2002 A6 Avant with a 130 bhp 1.9 TDI with a 5 speed box would be PD, for sure?

Yeah, all 130bhp engines are PD.

90k with Audi FSH, no worries with that I presume ??

I certainly saw some very late Audi running the 110 engine, which made me wonder a bit. I know recently Audi hgave kept the PD engines out of the bigger cars due to the higher noise levels (2.7TDI excepted)

Pretty low miles. Usualy things to watch out for, suspension arms, cv boots and see what the clutch is like, flywheel judder.
