poor radio reception?

Featured Replies

I seem to have very poor radio reception in my fabia vRS.

Anyone else suffer from this?

it seems to be a common thing on all skodas. however ive found if you pull out all the connectors and aerial and replug them in it does make things better (well has on mine).

mine is poo as well.

If you take the Aerial off you might find that it has had water ingress and the circuit board has corroded away.

Thats what had happened to mine anyway.

The aerial base contains a signal amplifier and as said above is prone to water ingress. A complete replacement aerial is around £33 + VAT.

Mine is rubbish too :(

How easy is it to replace?

Replacement is relativley straight forward.

My reception is crap as well, but just on am.

Sometimes turning the rear window heater or the wipers on and off a few times improves it!

I have no idea why

Get it sorted :)

Have you got VAGCOM could be a loose circuit in the stereo as mine has that when it was run on VAGCOM a few weeks ago!

Most of my time is spent listening to cd's so not really a problem to me.

Davy

yup mine is **** too
