Some pics where you can actually see my car :P

Featured Replies

unless the law has been changed recently the tax disk only needs to be on the left hand side of the windscreen

and using it as a sun sheild is a good idea

The tax disc has to be displayed in the lower left side of the windscreen. If you dont, it is an offence.

But very nice car there:thumbup:

Well, as an SDi owner, I can see why you'd be put off by anything with less mpg ;)

It has to be the best looking sdi in the UK though ;)

All depends on the mileage you do I suppose, as Super unleaded is a lot cheaper than diesel, and if I wasn't doing such a big mileage I would be straight back on a petrol!!

PS im still to sort out the size of the rear plate

were did you get that front bumper???? its awsome:thumbup:

Isn't it just a smoothed vRS front bumper Stuart?

What do you class as 'a lot' cheaper? There's 5p difference currently, at the Shell garage I use locally. 119 for diesel, 114 for Super.

Take a standard Fabia tank (45L) that's £2.25 saved if you fill with Super.

If you then take maybe an average of 30mpg with something petrol turbo'd, against, for arguments sake, 45mpg for a tweaked Fabia, you'll go 150 miles further. To equal the distance travelled with the diesel, you'd have to spend an additional £25.91 at the pumps (150/30)*4.545=22.725L*1.14=25.9065

I went through this exact thought process before I bought my second vRS last May, after having a Golf 1.8T for a short while ;)

I do 20k a year, the car has just turned over 105k miles :)

Did i ever post up pics of the magnolia TT interior?

Oh and yeh the bumper is just a smoothed vrs one

I thought I could see something nicely coloured inside, on the pics above. Stick some proper interior shots up though

Steve

Just thought I'd drop a line on here and say that Stuart - i've seen your car loads on Scottishvag and I hope you dont mind - but yours is what has inspired me to buy a TDi Fabia! :) Not going down the usual VRs route either - looking for an Elegance PD100 for that extra bit of Q! ;)

I went through that same process too, hence why I have a Fabia VRS now, and not a Golf GTI 1.8t Anniversay anymore:(

Wanna see that interior ASAP Stuart! :D

more details on how the bumper was done as that must have been a fair bit of work!

I am loving the front bumper...... The B pillers are nice to mate.
