I joined a couple of months ago, and have found a lot of good information here at Briskoda.

Here is my new vRS in Corrida Red. The wheels are Nitro Rosso with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires in 225/40 R 18. I traded the original Potenzas in for studded winter tires - Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5 in 225/45 R 17 - as we get quite a lot of snow here in Finland (well, most winters anyway).

Compared to a British spec vRS, the Finnish specs include a few additional items as standard:

- Dual-zone a/c

- Rear electric windows

- Jumbo box

- Xenon headlights w/washers

- Curtain airbags

- Heated front seats

- Active headrests

- Cruise control

- Auto dimming rear view mirror with rain sensor and light assistant

I ordered a few optional items as well (some of these are standard on the British spec vRS)

- Coming Home and Leaving Home lights

- Hill Hold

- Alarm system with interior monitoring and backup horn

- Double sun visors

- Maxi Dot trip computer

- Acoustic front and rear parking sensors

- SunSafeGlass-laminated side glazing

- Storage box behind the back seats

- Heated rear seats

- Variable boot floor

- Net programme in boot

- Luggage partition

The wheels are from a Swedish company Specialfälgar AB (they have a Finnish subsidiary Specialfälgar Finland Oy as well, but I think that their site in Swedish might be easier to understand than Finnish). I bought my set from Rengas-Soppi here in Helsinki. You can see their assortment of wheels here (pages in Swedish). Nitro and BM Racing wheels are their house brands.

The Nitro Rosso wheel is featured here and you can also turn the wheel (Rotera fälg). Prices are in Swedish Crowns. If you are interested in these or other wheels that they have, I'm sure that they can be obtained through dealers outside Scandinavia as well.

Cheers for that. The red accent wouldn't work with my car (the avatar's a pretty good pic of the car, which is why I picked it), and a green accent just seems wrong somehow.

We changed tyres this last weekend (to Nokian Hakkapelitta 5). Will be first winter in the snow for the Octavia, am wondering if the ESP will spoil the fun
