vRS lowering springs

Featured Replies

none of them seem to lower very much, about 30mm is the most ive seen

any reason for this ?

You can get -20's, 25, 30,25 and 40mm. All various makes.

Any lower, it's Coilovers you'd need.

any reason for this ?

yes, most people want to actually be able to use their car once its been lowered :P

As Johnny says you'll need coilovers to go really low - oh and watch that sump ;)

never mind the sump its the inner arches you need to watch, and i dont mean the arch liners either ;)

 yours look very good for it through

I have to say...with the undertray off, there's loads of room before you hit the sump :D

Serious question (and slightly off topic :o ), how much space is there between the undertray and the sump? Also, what does the undertray mount to? I've hit mine a few times driving down dirt tracks and wondered if I was doing it any harm?

I'm on the Eibachs and had no problems with speed bumps.

I have eilbach's wound half way down and its only on real cambered roads with mud and stones in the middle, Proper country roads, when mine scrapes. Speed bumps are fine. Whats wrong with the inner arches and rubbing then. Sorry for hijacking

Im wondering about the inner arches too?? we talking inside or wing side?

i'll get a pic during the day and show where mines is rubbing, the inside or middle of the tyre is hitting the arch at about 10 o'clock passenger side front inner arch.

was planning on maybe getting the Eibach 25mm springs, ill be ok with speed bumps yea ?!?

reason i asked is for most other cars 35-40mm is the norm, with 55-60mm being the extra low ones, with the Fabia it seems 25mm is the norm

Hi

Well the vRS is slightly lower to start with

So go the norm...... and it may be too low

I must admit though the AP coilovers are cracking price at the moment

Eibach are the most popular brand for springs alone , but there are others , look at Weitec? they could be a possibility

ive had cheap coilovers in the past, they were siezed within 6 months and the bushes on the rear shocks were totally shot at

Ah , but I know what you mean , I would of advised anyone to stay away from cheap coilovers

But not the AP ones , these are not like that

They are TUV approved and come with 2 years warranty

Stunning!!!!
