In some ways I just need to let off steam...

The news today tells of yet further falls in the price of oil (now below$90 a barrel) yet the price of diesel hasn't fallen at the same pace!!

I wrote to our local MP and received a reply that spoke of 'lead time' and production/transport delay. As I have again pointed out the price of fuel increases over night with the slightest upward movement of oil price.

The MP carefully gave details of how to complain to the Office of Fair Trade. She notes that I need to give details of all local fuel price movements over a six month period, together with related figures for the price of oil per barrel in the same period.

Well, you know, I thought that is what I pay my taxes for-to get my MP to look into matters that are of concern to their constituents. Apparently not so, after all, they have only just finished their Summer break (in spite of the banking system collapsing around them).

Enough said, but just wait for the local elections.
