Superb question..

Featured Replies

I was contemplating with a friend of mine here in the states on what to do to his VW b5.5 passat showcar to make it stand out a bit more over the rest of the crowd. One thing that came to mind is swapping the tail lights (i hate the passat ones) and the rear bumper skin from a superb onto his passat. Since they are both b5.5 platform based cars my logic is that it should work. The main thing is that we dont have superbs here stateside to test it out upon.. we're trying to expolit the "mr. potoato head" interchangeability of VAG parts to come up with something unique (at least stateside) It would not be too fun to order the parts and have them freighted over from europe only to find out that they dont fit correctly (and have wasted heaps of money and time to boot). sooo... to make a long story short, 1) - do you think it would work, 2) - have you seen/heard of it being done on your side of the pond? any input/info that you could give would be greatly appreciated..

Regards

Jake

Looking at my Superb I would say the rear lights and rear quarters are different, so the answer is dont do it in my mind.

Of course what you could do is buy yourself a Superb and ship it over. At least you will 1 of a kind over there.

Cheers
