How Do You Remove The Aerial

Featured Replies

I have recently been looking at a funky "bee sting" aerial for the RS but having tried to remove the existing one, wondered how the hell you do it?

It unscrews but then seems to be held in place with something that I can't determine. I would guess this is done for security reasons so that toe rags can't nick it.

Anyone know how you do it, as an anodised blue one don't half look tasty as per my friends Audi but I don't want to buy one if I can't get it off!!!!!!!!

All Briskodans, I need your advice!!

Been Their, done that. as has Karl I believe.

Removal depends on the model year, from MY02 onwards the aerial is part of the base and kind of folds down towards the rear screen. If you have one of these then you may need to buy th base as well. it's a pain to remove the base as you need to remove some trim from the rear and get above the headlining.

Pre MY02 its a simple screw in jobbie.

Yep mine just screws off (MY01) ... so where are these tasty anodised bee stings at Funkyjutel...I feel a Max Power attack coming on!

I think if you unscrew the thread till it just turns and then hacksaw it you can then push the remaining bit in allowing a new aerial to be screwed in..........I havent tried this yet but am tempted this weekend, anybody else done this yet ????????????
