Chirping sound after fitting Neuspeed "P-Flow"

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I fitted the p-flow today, bitch of a job getting the original turbo intake pipe off....lots of swearing!

Took it for a good rag afterwards and the low revs feel the samebut at the top end (6K rpm) it just keeps pulling which it didnt do when i had the standard airbox and a piper X filter.

Only odd thing is that sometimes as well as the wooshing of the DV valve and lots of great induction noise, I also get a "chirp" sound from under the bonnet...much like when you chirp the tyres under hard acceleration.

Any one else with an induction kit find this?

Just wondering if I have an air leak or DV issue. The car pulls like a train though.

Is it the P-flow venting off excess pressure?

I'd think you are hearing the DV.

I get the expected induction noise and the whoooshh when i come off the gas but sometimes as i'm accelerating I also get a little "Chirp" shound, its sounds a lot like tire squeel but its coming from under the bonnet.

Having had this on the car for a day now I'm not sure i actually like it, makes some real racket. Good when you are in the mood but when cuising in 6th you dont really want all that whooshing.

I'll give it a little longer, see if it grows on me........

Yep, I know the noise you mean. Its completely normal and just a quirk. I think its due to the complete lack of baffling and shape of the pipe. I didn't like it either.
