Rear aero blade for the hatch?

Featured Replies

I'm using the Valeo Silencio X.TRM aero blades on the front of my car, which work and look great, but the rear blade looks a bit out of place now, plus it's dead.

So basically I'm after a 16" retro-fit aero blade for the back. Don't suppose anyone has found one, because I can't.

Muchos gratis.

Typical, just found them! I must learn to scroll down.......

how much did you pay for the Valeo's? I had a new L1d1's 21" standard wiper in the garage so when I bought the Octy I put that on - just willing it to need replacing now so I can get the fronts as well. they look so much nicer.

£13.99 for the 21", £13.75 for the 19".

And now £6.99 for the 16" rear!

I got the same.

Works a treat and cheap!

Ahh good to hear, all 3 of my new aero blades should arrive tomorrow.

I hoping the rear blade will look/work much better.

Also, love the signature! I live on the edge of the peak district, and I love the roads. Even if they do try to kill me now and then!

Sunday morning at 7am, in the dry......... semi-orgasmic!

Does this rear blade fit the updated octavia rear wiper the one with the cover on?

Also my bosch aero wipers on the front, specifically the drivers side seems to leave lines of water as it wipes down to the rest position, this is the second set, the first lot did it really bad which i got exchanged, this set started off okay but its started doing it now, anyway to prevent it?

I don't get this at all - no lines.

No idea, I've not got the cover. They just fit over the standard hooked ends on the arms.

If you arm has a bent hook on the end of it then I guess it'll fit, and I can't see it interferring with the cover, but I may be wrong.....

The only way to find out is to try it I guess.

The Bloyn - you might have some small chips or some bits stuck to the screen.

Bodge - my personal favourite - Whaley Bridge-Buxton-Leek-Macc- Whaley Bridge

When you fitted the Valeo's did you attach that funny little wing thing?

There didn't seem to be enough space on the arm to clip it on.

Yes! It doen't look like there is room, but the ends of the spoiler are cut back on the backface, so it sort of neatly overlaps the chunkier bit of the wiper arm. If you know what I mean.....

It is a very nice fit actually, you'll see if you pop it on.

It works wonders when spanking down the motorway in heavy rain!

Back on topic- I fitted the 16" rear aero blade and it works/looks great as expected. It's not as high quality as the Valeo though. Also, I expect it will fit the newer style 'covered' arms, as the attachment piece is similar to a standard system, and not as bulky as the fancy Valeo system.

If anyone wants photos of the blade fitted, to see if it would fit their covered arms, just let me know.

Just thought i'd pop up a photo of the rear aero blade. Maybe you guys with the covered type arm can see if it would fit from it...
