Hi Everyone

Today i was informed my high level brake light was not working properly i checked it out and i've got three bulbs/LED's lit on each end and all the middle part is out. Is it a new unit or can they be fixed or maybe some other problem any help much appreciated

Thought as much, better to check first than look a NOOB at the dealers. It's under warranty so i took it back this morning and they have ordered me one. So cheers you guys for your witty but spot on diagnosis

Hi Same happened to mine (Fabia Vrs) out of warranty so took it out and after checking every soldered joint, I discovered that the diode on the led circuit board was faulty.. It was a 4004 - a mate had a 4006, so out with the old one and fitted the 4006. perfect it works -

No more beeping from the light warning buzzer and saved about £70 - Result

I had a failed one on a fabia rvrs too. So much for leds lasting 'for the life of the car'

Absolute rubbish!

The LEDs would, it was one of the support components...............
