I have a questioned aimed at all those that use the green panel filter. Can anyone claim they have felt or noticed a difference in cars performance or behaviour since fitting the green filter. Unless there is a perfomance advantage I can see only one other advantage, which is you are able to clean and re-use the filter after oiling.

I appreciate any response in this regard

PGPF it had a dead patch on the fabia vrs but AGPF it was gone. I think it's been a worth while cheap mod, though you wont get big gains

I've seen a tiny advantage on my PD100, but after seeing the state of the filter I took out, it was no surprise Makes the engine sound a bit more throaty too

Throatier for sure, but no significant performance increase. Possibly faster spool-up of the turbo? Oh, and a knackered / dodgy MAF, which I'd hate to link to the cotton filter but have to, to a point :( Apart from that its been a good thing and in the long run will be more economical than new air filters.
