The bulb "casing" has a blue tint, but when you turn it on it doesn't shine blue. A bit like those natural light lightbulbs you can get...

I don't know exactly but I had some blue ones on a previous car and found that if you stood infront and moved up and down you kept getting a hint of blue in the light, also it makes the light look whiter rather than yellow that some bulbs have, but one of each in and you would see what I mean :P

They wont look anything like xenons.... you must have seen kevs in festers and corsas with those silly blueish headlights... thats what they would look like.... silly!!

nice one, although as you say the lights won't like xeons I will defo be getting some as the difference is amazing compared to standard bulbs,

On my last car I went out with one new bulb and one old bulb to see the difference and it was amazing

Get the philips vision plus (+50%) they are awesome! I love then and often dont need beam (but these are rallye 100W jobs), great for teaching as a long reach and dont blind other drivers. Know this as the wife has driven infront and past to check it out. Still get flashed every now and then though!!!!
