Hello from Jonah, another Octavia driver.

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

I am on my 2nd Octavia 1.9tdi and for the first time having a little difficulty with it.

I'm trying to replace brake discs, (85k so I don't suppose it's bad) but cannot work out the size of the Alan key holding the discs in place.

Stupid question I know, but as there doesn't appear to be a Haynes manual for the Octavia and I don't know where to get a workshop manual of any kind.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks.

Welcome to Briskoda Jonah.

Cheers

Davy

Hello and Welcome.

Hiya.

There is a Haynes for the Octavia A4 (except 4x4s, but you have a TDi anyway).

Thanks Ken,

I've just finished the work! It went something like this, 3/4 day on the first wheel, seek advice from briskoda users, 2.5 hours to complete wheels 2,3 & 4!

Just wish I had asked before I started the job.

Thanks for the very useful info to all who replied.

Jonah
