I was doing some work on my car the other day and removed the stereo, no problem. Reconnected, entered the code and pressed the wrong button and the stereo is now stuck in safe mode. The stereo is a retrofit into a MK1 Octavia so the auto code mode doesn’t work. Any ideas anybody?

According to the user manual if the unit is in safe mode you need to leave it switched on for about an hour then you can enter the code again. This will continue until the correct code is entered.
