S3 Strut Braces for Octy vRS???

Featured Replies

how much?

where can i get them?

who can fit them?

How much?

also uprated engine mounts?

are they worth changing?

anyone with any experience of the difference they make?

any help/advice much appreciated

S3 braces fitted to mine, upper and lower. They are a quiet easy to fit, the lower takes about 5 mins whilst the upper takes a bit longer because you need to drill 3 holes into the top of each suspension turret.

Cost was about 70 if I recall for both upper and lower inc. vat and delivery from vagparts.

Alex,

do a search on "S3 strut braces". It should find a post with all the relevant part no's etc.

Go to an Audi dealer or VAGParts (price difference is negligible tbh)

There's also a few posts giving fitting instructions :)

Tis an easy job, and well worth doing.

In the near future, there will be a rear brace available (no drilling needed ;) ) via our very own Carjacked Mike

Bottom brace is a 20 minute job. It takes longer to jack up the car than to fit the brace.

Top is around an hours work, including tea breaks, but you have to drill the top of the suspension turrets :)
