Octavia wiring diagrams.

Featured Replies

Any ideas where I can get wiring diagrams for a '54 VRS estate.

Haynes apparently don't do a manual for that year yet!!

Is 54 a mk1 or mk2 ???

MK 1, just before the Mk2 came out!

Haynes do a manual for the mk1, I got one sat just behind me. Or do you specifically need estate info ???

Not sure if it covers them tbh

Thanks for your effort but the problem has solved itself.

According to Haynes (as of last year) they don't do a manual for that year! It's apparently the Facelift model??

No it isn,t facelift model its still a MK1 and all is covered in the MK1 manual.

The one I looked at in Halfrauds last year didn't include Sept'04 onwards.

Haynes said they hadn't written one. Thats not to say that the one you have covers most of the '54 model but Sods law says that the area I need won't be in the one you have. Many thanks anyway!

I am sure it will cover all your needs. It covers my 54 Vrs which was actualy made in Feb 2004.

The Haynes in Halfrauds are shrink wrapped! I don't want to buy one and then find out the bit I want is different.

I'll have a chat with a friend whos mate works there see if he can look at one that the wrapping has come off! If you see what I mean!!!!

The problem is sorted now but it would be useful to know for future use.

Hi

I have a Haynes manual for the Octavia Mk1

To be honest the wiring diagrams are poor compared to previous manuals that I have had and certainly so when compared to the genuine diagrams - the one's in the Haynes manual are all labeled 'Typical' so all you get is a general diagram of each vehicle system - I can scan a sample for you if you would like to see an example.

To be honest I was very disapointed with the manual - I have made enquiries with a number of contacts I have but they all say there is not much else available except for the genuine Skoda ones.

Sorry it's not much help - if there is a particular subsystem you need a wiring diagram for I might be able to source the odd diagram - it depends what you need

Cheers Bob

Just to wrap up!

Received a reply from Haynes to-day " ----Unfortunately, we do not produce a manual for this particular model and have no plans do so within the next 12 to 18 months---"

So unless a few hundred people ask for one it's a non event!!

If it is a MK1 there definitely a Haynes manual,I have one,its got a green cover. As said i previous post my vRS was registered as 54 plate but was manufactured in Feb 2004 (04)

There will be nothing different between a 04 and a 54 anyway. The Manual even covers Xenon lights (which mine has),well worth the money even if it does not fully cover some subjects, but for giving clues on how to remove trim etc,and location of hidden screws....invaluable.

There is one, I had one and I sold it to somebody on here.

To be fair it was sh*te and they have really gone down hill anyway.

Hi, I also have a Mk 1 Octavia, and it's just suffered a rear screen washer pipe disconnection right over the connector to the Disk-changer! (great place for the pipe connector!) The wires have corroded out. Do you have any wiring detail for the loom to disk-changer plugs? The wires are different colours each side too just to completely complicate reconnection. Any help greatly appreciated.

just download the workshop manulas if your good with computers you will be able to find themon the net

Hi mate, check your pm's

Hi,

I've got the same issue. The red wire on the loom has corroded off and there seems to be more than one option to wire it back into. The best bet looks like the yellow wire on the autochanger but assumptions and electricity don't go well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
