Hi all, just brought a favorit glxi estate over the weekend and will be hoping you people can help me with a couple of things.1 - it will need a mot very soon, so can anyone say what common problems there are that I need to check before i take it in.2 - It needs a tailgate strut as one is missing. The part number on the remaining one is - 21207 441-9.6442-048.6 is this compatible with any other vehicle Skoda or non skoda as I cant seem to find one any less than £60 !thanks

Try CPMS on 01733 324251 for a tailgate strut.They're Skoda specialists and do mail order too.

Common probs with Favorits are rust around the suspension areas and the cups the springs sit in.

Hi all I said I would update you on the Favorit estate I brought of ebay last saturday for a mere £120, well ive just taken it for its Mot and I hadn't touched it since parking it up, and it went straight through no problem at all !!. What can I say chuffed is an understatement, I thought I'd have to spend a bit on it at least. Now im itching to tax it but im reluctant to lose 3 weeks of unused tax to a government who fleece the car user as much as they do !
