Spillage of liquid on Octy vRS Seats

Featured Replies

Today, like a fool, I spilt a full cup of hot chocolate onto the front seat of the vRS (octy II).

Luckily, we had towels in the boot from a trip away and so most was soaked up in them. Also the nano tech(sp) spray that I used seemed to stop any staining of the white alacantra etc. The seat seems to look as if nothing had happened.

My concern is the amount of liquid that has gone into the seat, especially been milk based.

If this went into a valeters, would they be able to do anything?

Can I easily do anything?

Any advice appreciated.

hire or buy a rug doctor as itll be a lot cheaper than a valeter.

I'd just use a vacuum cleaner that can cope with water and suck it up for a bit. If the water has made it in quantity into the foam an extractor isn't going to pull it all out IMHO.

You might be lucky and find that very little got through the seat.

Not always, depends on where you go. A local valeting firm got my drivers front seat looking like new. They spent the best part of 1/2 hour on it, and the cost to me for all this labour £5. This is a well renowned local firm to me that all the major car dealers also use.
