My new fabia, bit concerned.

Featured Replies

Hi guy's, Picked up my new fabia vrs on friday mornin, 54 plate in Red. 27000miles. Stunning car, love it to bit's. Bit worried now though, when I picked it up the salesman(skoda dealer) said it had a service and new discs and pads. Reading on here the cam belt should have been changed? 4 years?. But it was not changed, they just did an oil and filter change. Should I take it back and say I want a cam belt fitting?.

If it's a late 54 plate, it might not be 4 years old yet. What's the date of registration?

Is it really 4 year old over by todays date, if so then Yes. If it is 3 years and 299 days then technically, No. I would err on the side of caution and get it done if it has not been..

Kind of what Jason said.

I'd agree with that if its been sold with full history. :)

I used to condem belts on sales and customers cars if they were going to hit 4 years in the next couple of months.

Done a few pre 10,000 mile belts before.

Should really have been done by the dealer before it was sold.
