re mapped mk 1 octy vrs

Featured Replies

i know a few of you guys got re-mapped vrs octy an most maps on a stage 1 tune put out around the 210 mark.

just wondering anyone got any figures on what it means on the road?strip times etc 0-60 ,30-70 top speed etc?

what makes the most difference the increase in torque when on the go or the bhp for acceleration?

cheers

Torque for acceleration, they spin like hell if mapped right n torque steer, std clutch dissintegrates and takes out the bearing housing on your gearbox, they'll do quarter mile in about 14seconds, mine tops out at 160 on a good day and 150-155 on a bad day. Hell of a difference over std octy. Much over bolt on bits n a custom map and you need to consider upgrading the rods. Std mine had 140 at wheels it now has 205 (180/250 at crank). wont get cracking 0-60 times due to wheelspin but hopefully havin lsd fitted to mine to overcome this. The acceleration from 70-135 is excellent but this depends on how its tuned to produce torque. Its the torque that pushes you in the seat with acceleration.

Who did your remap Rich?

p.s. I grew up in Ponte.:D

id imagine 0-60 been around high 6's low 7's as you have to remember fwd is very difficult to get off the line well thanks to the weight transfer.
