Angel Tuning.........

Featured Replies

has anyone had any experience with them???

The reason i'm asking is because after being away from my recently sold Fabia for a month, i've decided i want another one!!!!:o

The car i'm looking at has been re-mapped by this company and i was wondering if anyone knows much about them?? I could be wrong but i think i've read somewhere that the remaps are a bit 'harsh'

Cheers, Ian:thumbup:

I've had my Furby remapped by Angel. Had no problems at all with them, although my map was a tweeked generic map. Had previous cars mapped from other places, but i've found Angel the easiest and best to work with.

I've found that anything i do to the car and want it remapped, i take it back to Angel and they'll sort me out lol

HTH

I've had two vehicles remapped by them with no problems at all in over 3 years now. :)

My old car was mapped by them and there was no problems caused by the map (the car was another story). They seem to get a bad rap on other forums but i would recommend them.

Thanks for the info guys:thumbup:

Ian:)

my fiat (same as snowrock used to have) was mapped by angel at 4,000 miles, I'm now up to 64,000 miles, and all is well, turbo/cluch/gearbox ect all as new :)

im pretty sure my mate had his OLD (key word there, OLD, past tense) fab vrs mapped by them....approximately 2500 miles later things started going pop and the head gasket, amongst other things, gave in and cutting a long story short, 04 plate fabia vrs was written off.

i must stress tho - it was not confirmed that the work angel did caused the problems but it was suggested as a strong probability.

I think if there was that much engine damage the way the car was being driven would most likely be the culprit, not an engine map.

As above. With that amount of milage after the map, then it would probably be down to driver style. I can't see how a map could cause a head gasket to go (certainly on a diesel).

my car was re-mapped by them and had no problems.its all sound :)

saw an angel mapped fabia blow its turbo as it passed me, £5,000 damage... warranty job

£5000???

£5000???

Yeah somthing like that... spoke to the skoda mech who was working on it.

I dont know the details but new turbo, IC, Exhaust, think it shot the whole engine

It can happen even on a standard one - you just need to treat them right, warm up / cool down etc!!

Exactly.

Probably nothing to do with the Angel Map.

It wouldn't be one I'd choose out of choice Ian, but they seem to have a fair few satisfied customers - some of whom have already replied :)

Cheers Steve, your opinion certainly matters:thumbup:

Thats why i asked the Q in the first place, i'm sure that in the past i've read some other 'not so good' comments regarding Angel.

However after reading the replies from this post, most seem very satisfied:thumbup:

It doesnt really matter now anyway as i am no longer interested in the car with the AT map.

I've broke a bone in my foot so cant drive for over a month now anyway so i'm going to take my time and choose the right car. Hopefully the perfect car will come along sooner rather than later:D

Ian:)

No worries mate. Clearly, the foot issue is coming into play, but you never know - it might still around when you're fully recovered :)

On the Angel issue, one of the most important responses for me is from Mr Sharky - the car gets a hell of a lot of miles under its wheels and in a variety of circumstances; I'd judge that to be a very good test of a map's reliability

The foot issue is going to come into regarding test drives but tbh, i think the Yellow just isnt for me and after reading the replies about the AT remap, i'm no longer worried.

Hopefully a nice one will come along soon:thumbup:

indeed, I tend to run about 900 miles a week..... and the map is a bit conservative, other GPS's that have been mapped by companies like reddot are running circa 180bhp (although less torque than me) so my map isn't really pushing the boundries, so fingers crossed will keep the reliability....

jasc1988: isn't your car mapped by angel? you haven't had any probles have you?

I had mine remapped with them from when the car was a few months old.

Brilliant! I recommend them.

No mines is a Star Performance switchable one :)

I do about 15-20k a year and i'm more than happy with Angel. Car takes some abuse ( at times ;) ) and the clutch still holds up well :) :P

Suppose its also down to how the car is driven etc
