Running an amp/ sub from a standard symphony

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have been looking at different options for up rating my stereo, one of my options is to stick all my old kit into the Fabia (HU, amp, sub) the only thing is I think my head unit looks a little silly in the Fabia (even with the Skoda facia). So I’m now thinking of getting a connect2 to plug into my mp3 player (no more CD's!!!) and then using my amp and sub running off the symphony, I have all the right connectors as my old head unit was a blaupunkt.

Getting to the point is anyone running an amp and sub from a symphony and if so is it any good?

Cheers

Ed

Im running an alpine M500 from the symphony for about 4 years now. Can't fault it. Did also run a 4ch amp but got rid of that a while back.

Nice one, thanks for that!

Are you using your amp to power the door speakers? Sounds like some people have noticed quite a difference doing that to the standard speakers.

I'm thinking of getting one of these

Blaupunkt THA475 PnP amplifier

A wiring harness is available to plug into the existing loom, just need to check whether it will fit under the driver's seat. I'm halfway through fitting some Blaupunkt Velocity components in the front doors. Just need a weekend off to coincide with not bloody raining to finish!
