NEED LOCAL HELP... To fit front splitter

Featured Replies

Hi Guys I live in Wakefield and I need help fitting the front splitter does anybody live local enough to give me a hand fitting it ???

Theres a few pints in it for the lucky helper ! :D

Its dead easy to fit it bud. There's a few "how to's" on here i think.

Remember to trim the 2 centre bits down to the flat level bit about an inch down. I noticed a couple of people at TRAX had not done this and it makes the splitter dip in the middle and not sit quite right.

I had my splitter fitted in Wakefield.

I have pointed the fitter in the direction of this thread!

I've had ours sat in the shed since May, best I get off my **** and fit it!!

ACSC;)

mines is burst, i need to fit a new one but cant be bothered.

Hey Karl. Hows things?

Id help out but the next couple of weeks are very busy for me. off to the states for a few weeks begining of November.

Its easy easy easy peasy. With about 6-7 splitter fits under my belt heres my advice

start in the middle, get the whole slitter central on the car. then screw the flaps to the underside of the bumper using small self tappers.. working from the center out.

The last of all once your happy trim the ends off with a junior hacksaw blade.

Good Luck.

I've fitted a couple on my own but personally preferred to attach both ends first then make sure the middle was central then fix in place in-between. That way you can position the centre part knowing the ends are not going out of place etc.....

Both done in 20 minutes or so.

Cheers

Dave.

No need to worry anymore guys as Im off down to Jabba Sport on the 28th they have chucked in a free one for me fitted :D

Having a squeeze of more power pushed out of the OEM turbo to 178BHP and bit more Torque out of her just to rip up the tarmac quicker hehe.

Shes also having the cambelt service done as I dont like local Skoda dealers !

Its worth and hour and a half drive cos I know theyre good at what they do down there and care !

If you don't mind me asking how much are Jabba sport asking for the cambelt service ?

Thanks,

Alan.
