What! A none Skoda owner?

Hi guys.

I've browsed on here a few times and the info is spot on.

Ok so I don't have a Skoda and won't in the near future but here's my excuse. I work for VW commercials, at the local dealer in Edinburgh and surprisingly, like my job.

I've been in the trade for 16 (gulp) years, so know a few tricks. I also know a good car when I drive one and have been impressed with the Skodas I've driven. Far more honest than the stuck up VW's, ,y wife has a Bora for her and my wee boy to run around in and I run around in a really nice Ford Puma, My Transporter van is a work in progress.

Hello everyone I decided to update my 2014 Skoda Octavia to a newer age. First changed the MIB1 to MIB2, and then decided to add a rear view camera (there are other projects on the way like MFK1 to MFK2). I want to tell the story so someone else does not make the same mistakes I did. My Skoda never had a camera, so I bought one from a scrapyard, a 3V0827566N without the wiring harness, it scrapped with the body. But since I had no wiring I needed a harness, contacted Skoda Parts, got no concr

Prepping to do 2.0TSi clutch in future - plenty of time and opportunity as I mentioned recently I have a 1.8T L&K Octy also ! I'd seen a comment at some point someone recommending to change rear main seal whilst you are in there. Something to watch for? Also as below

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse

Hello I have completely drained the cooling system to replace the coolant in my 1.4 MPI. To refill my Haynes manual says to remove the temperature sensor from the cylinder head to allow air to escape. I pulled out the clip and then lifted out the sensor which came out by pulling. I then filled the system until coolant was seen in the sensor hole. I then the replaced the sensor but noticed coolant leaking from it. On inspection noticed that the sensor was able to move up and down with the clip in
