I need some cheap and cheerful ideas to perk up this god foresaken PD105 Golf I'm driving! :(

Only keeping the car for the next three months so any suggestions need to be cheap or preferably free so 'pikey mod' suggestions would be welcome providing they are reversible and if anyone has by chance a tuning box lying around that I could 'borrow' for some beer tokens I'd be eternally grateful.

Please help me out of my misery!

air filter, see if their is a restrictor in the grill for the air intake. other than that you could slip stream a skoda :P

Resistor mod is you put a suitable resistor in line with the temp sensor or the fuel pump harnes to convince the engine to overfuel. Not sure if that would work with a PD105.

It overfuels and you get more power plus more smoke. Not good for the car as such, but if it's gone in 3 months and is a company car.

I happen to have a dragon digital tuning box you can borrow for a few months if you want (it's for a pd 105 octy) so should fit OK

I would remap mine if it didnt void my GAP insurance, and no point doing PD160 intake and filter without a map.

My slight warmed 105 is far more fun as a DD than my VRS was. That might be down to the handling though...
