Cabin heater problem

Featured Replies

The heater blower on my 99 1.9 TDI has started to play up and wondered if anybody could help? Essentially it only works intermittently and when it does it makes a strange clicking noise??? I've taken the glove box out today and got it to work by pushing the outer casing but when I put the glove box back it stopped working again???? Is it the motor or is something else going on?????????

OK, anbody know the part number for the motor?

I think the control flaps can get stuck, and this might be causing your problems. Have a search, as I think this comes up from time to time, but not something that I have experienced (yet!)

Does the the blower motor run normally when set to maximum? If so it might be the series resistor located on the panel under the motor. If you were pushing the underside of the motor this may make sense.

The flap motor can make a noise. You can see if it is this by changing the position of the recirc switch.
