Seat Belt Warning Light

Featured Replies

I have just acquired an Octavia 2.0 tdi 2005. I have only done a few hundred miles so far, very nice.

Tonight while driving along, now and then the seat belt warning light came on and the bell sound chimed a couple of times. I thought this was only a reminder to put your belt on before driving off. Is this a dodgy sensor or wiring problem?

Thanks

Sounds like it might be a problem with the switch in the belt buckle.

Simplest fix would be to have the warning 'coded out'

It's been covered in other threads. See "Ask A Tech" forum on Briskoda as well.

I have diconnected mine. There is a cable bellow the driver's seat, with the plug in the midle. Disconnecting it disables completely warning light and chime.
