ive seen various ones in halfrauds and argos catalogue, but the only concern i have is one that actually fits the octy handbrake. Yes these things can be awkward, the old cars you just unscrewed the gear knob. But lets face it which car you gonna nick the one with no steering lock and gear/handbrake lock or spend some time trying to get these things off?

These are a waste of time TBH, they get them off in about 10 seconds.

If you want a proper deterrant then get the ones tha go around at least half of the steering wheel.

Although I'd say with any modern car they're more likely to break into your house and get the keys than take the car without them.

Dont bother. Get a steering wheel lock.

i know that gear/handbrake locks are easy to get off, i have lets say a mis spent childhood and too many contacts for the wrong things. i just wondered as they come in different sizes and it be a way of slowing a thief down. Nick your keys then they got to unlock the steering lock and then the gear lock which will mean another 10 seconds or longer which could mean the difference in getting the scum before they drive off and also a deterent as they will realise they got to still get the bits off by which time you could be causing such a commotion that they will decided to run etc.

I already have a thatcham approved steering lock which doubles as a bat ;)
