Yet another "yet another seat surgeons retrim" thread

Featured Replies

I travelled to York yesterday (around 180 miles each way!) to get my seats retrimmed in leather at The Seat Surgeons whilst participating in the Briskoda Seat Surgeons group buy

I dropped the car off at 11:30am and it was ready by 3:45pm. Paul is one of the nicest people I've ever met and talked me through every little thing that was done to the car, including pointing out that one of the rear door cards had been cracked beforehand (kind of him to mention - I'd never ever have noticed). To my delight, the retrimmer guy had fixed this :)

Before anyone notices, I did indeed shamelessly copy another person on here with regards to the style I've gone for. But it looked nice and was what I wanted; so there we go.

So here's what you're all waiting for... some pictures! Some of them are blurry but I took them in a rush; I'll take some more and replace them at a later date :)

It was £750 for standard leather. Was it you that got nappa leather at the special £800 price?

As you know I saw these in their shipping bag last week - but they look even better on the car. Great job.

I was pretty sure you wouldn't be disappointed!

The leather smell will get stronger over the next few days and you will like it even more.

Mine will be done next week! Picture to follow!

Yes, I went for the nappa at £800.

Enjoy

I think there's a lot of people here with that design, it's quite standard tbh :)

(I've got it on mine)

What about your location of the VRS badge though...

What about your location of the VRS badge though...

If that question was directed at me (not sure if it was?!) - I specifically asked that the vRS badge remained in the original location...

Exactly same as my from factory lol !

Looks good...........

just wish i had the cash :(

Just to clarify the situation because I've seen it mentioned a few times, Seat Surgeons can put the badge wherever you want, but it has to be on plain leather - not a perforated bit.

On my seats which I had done last week (http://briskoda.net/fabia-i/yet-another-seat-surgeons-re-trim/127459/) I wanted all the "inner" section to be perforated so my badge is higher - which I was fine with.

IIRC Ed had the top panel of the grey "inner" section done in plain leather so that the badge can be in its standard position - and the rest of the grey bit is perforated. You pays your money and takes your choice

Here is a picture of mine - if Ed can take one of his from a similar angle you will be able to see he difference....

Nice looking retrim. How well do these retrims stand up to daily wear and tear?

I have seen lots of piccys of Seat Surgeons work, but never seen any in the flesh. Until tonight, when i have been to see Ed,s car. The workmanship is very good, the finish is brilliant, and overall quality is outstanding. Great value for money( i just wish i had the money to have mine done :() Overall money well spent i think.

Another top job. Look very nice indeed

I didn't ask for it there personally, but now seeing that it couldn't have been there with being perforated i'm glad it is :) Not a fan of the solid leather/perforated look, all or nothing in my eyes :D

I had mine done in December 06, my car was only a few weeks old when I drove up from the Bristol area to York. Second birthday is next month and mine has done 21K in that time. The seats are as good as new still and wear and tear simply is not an issue. Really good purchase

I went up north today, got mine done :D

I have only good comments. Very professional done!
